he is also about 8 years old so alot of dogs respect him becuase of that and he takes that to advantage and he is not afraid of big dogs becuase my sis has a cheasapeake bay retreaver that could squish him flat but he dosent because Bommer (my dog) is older or somthing like that

If you want to get rid of some bad habits, you're gonna have to be patient, firm, and make sure you keep at it. Otherwise he'll just keep on doing that stuff.
If he's not good around other dogs, you're going to gradually get him used to being around other dogs. It helps if you know someone with a dog who is willing to help, hopefully around the same size (since small dogs might get nervous around big dogs). THe other dog should be fairly calm and not aggressive. Keep both the dogs on leashes and introduce them. Watch them when they are together so in case a fight breaks out, you'll be ready. This takes a long time, especially if you're dog is not used to other dogs. Eventually, you'll make some progress but if the dog is older, sometiems you just gotta accept that he's not going to get along with all dogs.
As for the growling when he's eating or sleeping, that means the dog belives he's dominant over you. You're going to have to show him who's really in charge (you). Don't be afraid to....he's only a min pin. To get him used to you while he's eating, just pet him softly until he get's used to you.

hi i have a male min pin he is 2 in august.
he growls at my cats he likes too protect what is his, pigs ears bones etc.
i used too think it was funny, but it is not.
u need too be firm but fair, these little dogs try too get thier own way, they have a possesive nature.
ppl find it hard too reprimand little dogs but wee dogs do same as big dogs, and training his too know ur the boss wont hurt him but will teach him too respect u.
i was told by a min pin breeder when he growls put him on his back onmy knee and hold his scruff its like making him submit.
gud luck,
they are good dogs, but with appropiate training will be fun too have around,
mine is ok with other dogs, friendly seems too be,i have a cross breed collie also, but a *****.
my dog eats toilet roll lying around, they r distructive if not given enough too do.make sure he has toys and chews etc.

Our min pin is VERY protecting of the condominium. This is his area, and he isn't relaxed with different men and women in it. The handiest method that you're going to get yours over that is to socialise him/her. Parks are a quality method to do that. Mine feels much less threatened by way of men and women in the event that they sit down at the sofa for a whilst and puppy him. He additionally warms as much as men and women quicker if they are going to play with him. For illustration, his ball is his FAVORITE toy, so if anyone sits down and they are going to throw the ball a couple of occasions for him he's commonly extra accepting of them. Mine may be very jealous, if anyone comes over and starts petting my jack russel, he instantly wishes his percentage in their concentration. You simply ought to be sufferer with them, they're headstrong, cussed little puppies. however I cant strain ample that socializing your puppy is the nice method to repair this. On the comforter quandary, might be she is solely marking her territory. If the comforter was once ever in touch with a further puppy or cat she might be smelling that animal and simply looking to mark her territory.
