Just the opposite. I showed my true feelings way too early in the relationship and it backfired.

All the time. I have a problem telling people how I feel and that is not right. I am trying real hard to be honest and speak how I feel but it doesn't always happen that way. One must try very hard to be open and maybe things will happen when you least expect them.

Yes when i was with him i never told him i liked him. It was like i was embarrassed. We b/up. But then i thought I should tell him and i did. but it was too late he had a gf. So now its out in the open I like him.....

mostly out of fear that my feelings wouldn't be reciprocated or that the other person would feel suffocated.
