It's time to let go when it feels right. I know, not very helpful but you can't put a time on it. One day, you will wake up and find that this person no longer has a hold on you. You'll feel a freedom. It's all about when you are ready to let go. Think about it, resove it in your mind, and be at peace with it. It'll be hard at first, but eventually, the haertbrokeness will go away, and you will be ready to move on. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

I try to let go when it ends and not keep myself in angst and hope. If there is going to be a chance for you two later, it will happen but waiting and hoping and keeping yourself entangled with an old love will just keep you blind to all the possibilities in front of you. Think about you right now, your needs, health and wellbeing. The more you do that the happier you will start to be and the more luring you will be to the right person or that old flame.

Absolutely...when you have talked till your blue in the face about things that will make your relationship a better on for the both of you and one party commits to the reality and try to make new and improved things happened and the other is still stuck in the same routine and still does not take the other persons feeling into consideration. A E = TIME TO MOVE ON!!!!!

Sounds like now!! Life is too short to hold onto something with no future. You deserve peace of mind, happiness and respect from a relationship. I know it hurt's now but I promise it will get better.
Don't waste your time on the past, if it didn't work the first time odds are it won't work the 2nd.

Now. Ever heard the saying if you love something let it go? Well it's kind of like that. If you love yourself, though, it's what you have to do. You can't go through life waiting for things to happen. You can't just sit still and let it all pass you by. Move on. Besides,if it does work out in the long run,it willbe all the sweeter because you weren't expecting it.

Your brief description speaks volumes. The time is now. Go through the emotional withdrawal, get back a healthy sense of perspective and consider that there's another soul mate out there somewhere who will be thankful to one day discover and appreciate you.

It sounds to me as if you already know but do not want to know. Only in time will you know that you should have moved on last week. Holding on before you move on is ludicrous while he/she is laughing at you.. Get revenge by MOVING ON and NOT looking back no matter how hard it is or appears. It is JUST NOT worth it.

When you start dreading to see the person. In other words, when the person calls, it's more of an annoyance than a pleasure. Also you can tell by the empty feeling in the pit of your stomach that it is time to move on.

I went down that road w/ my first boyfriend...and waited 9 months. Listen to your gut. If your gut is constantly saying it's not going to happen, but you're back talking it anyway, hoping, you're wasting your time. If you can't do that, like I couldn't the first time, something will happen that will be a big slap in the face and force you to move on.

It's time to let go when you no longer feel any regret or guilt over the decisions you have made. You are at peace with both yourself and your ex and you have no more reservations, your self confidence is restored, and you feel like a new person.
