The best way to get a tick to back out and works every time. Take a cottonball--soak it with dish soap--rub on the spot several seconds and the tick comes out and is stuck on the cottonball.,

camphor is a terpenoid - it is commonly used in moth balls - however i wouldnt use it on pets! and i doubt it repels ticks anyways! it is used as a moth repellent - so no dont use it on your pet
