He is mostly black with a little brown. He is a small pup and I can not figure out a name. Any ideas. Good ideas, don't answer this if you are gonna act like a 5 year old .

I like Reggie. I had a baby Rottweiler named Reggie and it fits dogs with that coloration.

More important than naming a dog is learning how to train him! Min Pins are great dogs, but they can be very yappy and hard to housebreak.

Begin motivational puppy training as soon as you get him. Don't listen to people who tell you that you have to wait until they are six months old - by then it's way too late. (Would you send your child off to his first day of school when he's 13??)

I'd also suggest reading some really good books on training. Try not to do it randomly - there are a lot of bad books out there also! These are some of my favorites:
What All Good Dogs Should Know - Volhard
Good Owners, Great Dogs - Brian Kilcommins
Dog Tricks : Eighty-Eight Challenging Activities for Your Dog from World-Class Trainers by Haggerty and Benjamin
Don't Shoot the Dog - Pryor
Training Your Dog: The Step by Step Method - Volhard
Dog Problems - Benjamin
Cesar's Way - Cesar Millan

Also, watch the Dog Whisperer on the National Geographic Channel. Cesar Millan is the best trainer I've ever seen on TV.

My introduction to min pins was with my son's dog. His name was Gunner. A good strong name, that is different.

Louis! (Pronounce Lou-ey!) I love that name for a male dog but my dog's name is Levi (he's a chocolate lab!) If you don't find what you are looking for then you can Yahoo! search for baby names or dog names. Good luck with your new puppy!
