Some think it is o.k. others do not. Why is this a big deal?

Why would a fictional book bother anyone? If you don't like fiction, don't read it & don't go see the movie. The only thing about it that bothers me is all these people making a bigger deal of it than it is. If they'd just let it alone, thousands of people who never would have gone to see it, feel the need to see it because they think they're missing someone amazing revelation. It's so silly, the very people who oppose it are the ones making it famous.

It bothers some people cause it challenges a book from a 1000 years ago. For all those out there that say its fiction your right but so is the bible---duh.

I don't think the DaVinci code is a big deal because...IT'S A WORK OF FICTION! I don't know why people don't understand this. Anything it says about God or religion that's incorrect is just made up for fun.

I find the book is ok because alot of intelligent people read the book and can decide between fact and fiction

The movie I am against... many people who are uneducated will go see the movie and consider it as fact and not as a story. (I do love Tom Hanks, but I think his talent would be better used somewhere else)

Bad fiction bothers me; there's too much of it already. Bad fiction that makes the Vatican say laugh-out-loud funny things, though, now that's priceless! I may even try to read the consarned book again.... :)

i don't consider it a big deal.Jesus was God as a man on earth; why is it such a big deal that he had a kid? and for the part about Jesus being a mortal, it's a fictionous book.
So: it's fiction.
why is it a big deal if Jesus was a father.

I love it. It's a work of fiction no doubt, but it's making some of the faith zombies question. That's a good thing.

What bother me most, is Brown implies that catholics are indicative of Christianity, they're not, and he offers the only opposing position as paganism.

This I believe; http://homelessheart.com/testimony.htm

It's a book, it is fiction. People shouldn't get so worked up either way. I read it, I thought it was entertianing but it didn't change my beliefs.
