It's just the pious form of SHUT UP (or two other words that would get me reported). Not merely hateful but cynical as well.

I understand your frustration to still find people that do accept Jesus. But I am going to say "yes" it is not appropriate to say it in that manner. You know we will live forever w/the Almighty with the promise of riches and perfection and no tears no fear no sadness etc..or you will sleep forever, what is their choice. Just do a little more modification. Remember prayer is powerful.

Well, if you BELIEVE what you are saying, then how can it possibly be hateful? If you honestly think you are trying to protect someone from something really really bad (and I think burning in hell qualifies), then this is actually a compassionate, loving behavior. Try to look at things from other people's perspectives from time to time, those people aren't trying to hurt you (in their minds at least).

People tell me this all the time. I take comfort in the fact most of them will be resting right alongside me if there is such a place as Hell. Silly, Christians!

That sounds pretty hateful to me. Also, Im pretty sure I remember Jesus saying that it is not for man to decide who goes to heaven and to hell, but for The Father to decide.

No, but if you or someone did say that, then get them to a psycologist or take them to the closest missionary and have a exorcist, um i mean preist explain things.

yes, because i don't think scaring someone is the way to get someone to accept Jesus. but that's just my opinion.

It is not our place as humans to judge other humans.

That method is also not at all tactful, and I think it can cause non-believers to be driven farther away from accepting Biblical truths.

When you say it in all caps like that....

And really, if I have to burn in hell to avoid people like you, I don't mind so much.

It is kind of ineffective because they probably don't care. I hate it when people try to push their religion on other people, that bothers me. If everybody is god's children, then why is jesus so special??
