If the sin is "impure thoughts" then the cleansing power of green tea would be just the ticket to expunge the sin. Brilliant idea!

Green tea isn't healthy. It has tanic acid, the same stuff they use to harden leather, and it does the same thing to your stomach lining. So it would be an unhealthy sin.
