In love, with Differences?

There is this guy, and I sorta still like him. He used to like me and said that his friends didn't think we would get along. The reason they think we wouldn't work out together is because i am a prep, and he is Emo/gothic (practically a normal guy with love problems). So because his friends disbelieve he has been ignoring me so that he can forget all about me.
What shoudl I do?

Make yourself known.. If you want him don't give up... As a woman we can usually make men see past thier friends point of view... Just be presistant
