We have 2 girls together already, ages 7 & almost 5. He also has 2 girls, from other realtionships, ages 17 & 14. But I would like to try for a boy and I know that he wants a boy also. It's something we have talked about before but not seriously. What do I do?

It depends if you want it to be a surprise, what kind of contraceptives are you taking? If it is something that you can simply stop taking, then do so, and BAM, you will get pregnant.. Then, you may take a home pregnancy test, wrap it up, and give it to him as a gift and then he will read the results and see that - you are expecting a bundle of joy... Or you can sit down with him and let him know that you feel that you are ready to try to have another baby and that you wanted to really know how he felt about it...

Just talk to him. A marriage should always be open for communication. I tell my wife everything. We talk about the way we feel and what we want all the time. Just be open and tell him how you feel.

Do his parents want a boy to continue on the family name? You can recruit them to help pressure your husband.

Or you can just bring it up.
