Now that's a good question. If one was isolated, and never taught about Jesus, and was basically good all through life, but, never heard of Jesus, thus, not believing in Jesus, would that person go to hell?
And if he would go to Heaven, does that make Jesus a liar, since he said, you must believe in the Lord in order to get to Heaven.?

If deserted and left to be raised by some other means, Jesus is still there, God is still there, but the person raised independently of religions teachings misses the introduction and understanding about Gods gift, that inspired the writers of the Bible...I think such an individual would feel compelled to come up with some belief to help explain his existence and that would also help explain all that he senses and all that he thinks out with his own intelligence...sooner or later some type of creator above his own self, would probably come to mind that he could give acknowledgment to...Look at the early Native Americans, and the Mayans and Aztecs of Central and South America, they too were without Jesus (until the early Spanish explorers came along) but until then they worshiped the sun, moon, sky, rain, birds, and stars.......

This is a fairly ineffective angle from which to criticize religion. Why?
1. Humans are cultural beings. All our knowledge passes down culturally. For a human raised by wolves, iPods, computers, electricity... even flaked stone cores and Homo Erectus hand axes wouldn't exist for you. Why should it surprise that some of humanity's more abstract ideas would be absent in such a milieu? Or do you imagine wolves will teach our theoretical feral human about General Relativity?
2. Most Christians, Muslims, Jews and Hindus believe that the major revelations of their religion have come through human scribes and/or prophets, albeit via divine communication. As communicative beings, why should it surprise that humans have played a role in the development of their own religious culture? Their doing so does not mean that God does not exist. Nor does it mean Jesus was never born. It menas what it means, and if God does exist, does it not stand to reason he would approach us through the very abilities that distinguish human beings? Our cultural and communicative abilities?

Assuming you were deserted as a baby and could remember nothing of the time before you were raised by wolves, you would have no real religion. A belief in God and Jesus Christ must be taught. This does not mean that religion is man-made, simply that we have an obligation to pass on to our children the truths we know about God and Jesus. There is a lot you wouldn't know if you were raised without civilization, why should we expect a knowledge of God to be any different? You wouldn't know about germs either, but they would still exist and could cause you to get sick, regardless of your lack of belief in their existence.

You would have no concept of Jesus, Christianity, Buddhism, Islam, Hindi, Hare Krshna or any religious teaching and beliefs from man's society.
You would probably lead a much happier and more peaceful existence! Being raised by wolves, they may consider the full moon to be a kind of God....who knows???

If I was deserted and raised on an island by wolves, I wouldn't really care about my religion. That would be the last thing on my mind.

You would not know him. If you felt you needed to worship some one or thing you would develop your own sense of religion. But being raised as an animal you would probably not care one way or an other, and so live as an animal not as a human being.

How can you believe in a person if you have never SEEN a person? Your person was deserted, and raised (as in too young to be by themselves) by wolves. They have never seen a person, OR heard a person OR talked to another person! Humankind was created with the need to worship though, so a person would probably come to have rituals that meant something to them in a situation such as that .

Then don't worry about it and leave it alone. You are just as bad as an over zealous Christian pushing their beliefs off on someone. Your unbelief is thought by man, therefore not authentic nor is it genuine.

Man was given the intelligence by God to learn. We are of the higher species and therefore, we teach our children. The animals on earth do not have the ability for paying jobs, building the world around us, technology - that would be impossible.
