Sometimes theres not enough time to think.

Most don't think before they speak. It's just the way humans are. I know there are times I don't think before I speak. I speak my mind, so there is no reason for me to think before I speak. I say what I mean all the time. Truth hurts, but someone has to tell it.

I don't really know. What I do know is that the majority of the population is guilty of this. When I become very angry or upset, I struggle to not say what I REALLY want to say, at that very moment. I try to calm down first but I am often guilty myself. I wish I knew the answer to this so that everyone, including myself, could practice it! I hope I helped a little, maybe it will help just knowing I agree with your question and often wonder the same thing! Have a nice day.

when people speak they go by how they feel, so they aren't consciously aware of what they have said, until they say it, and that is when the thinking comes into play. Unless of course in cases where people actually do think before they speak...which usually happens when they know they have to, or don't want to get into trouble or "say something wrong"

Actually, it's the exact opposite.

When you want to speak, your brain sends a signal to the muscles in your mouth to move in a way so that you speak. When the brain sends the signal, that's called "thinking". It's science!

If you mean "thinking" as in actually thinking about it in your head, then it's just human nature.

People who thinks FIRST and then speak, are intelligent!

Speaking is infinitely easier than thinking.

Thinking requires a point of reference (where you are), a point of view (what your interpretation is) and the ability to discern the difference.

Caribeanswimer said it best. It's because we're human. I've done this before and I'm sure you have too.
