I used them for my wedding. I'll be honest, it is time consuming, but so worth it. It took my sister and I about 5 hours to complete all 250 invitations/response cards/reception cards. But I also saved about $700.00 Be patient and follow the instructions and you should be fine. Make sure you test one before you actually use an invitation. I got mine at Michael's. Office Max and AC Moore have a great selection too.

Good luck!!!

For my wedding, I went out of the formal invitations ( which I special order oversea) as 50 extra unexpected guests were add to the list later. I did use computer invitation. It really depends on the brand and paper quality you choose. Also, your printer quality is important. Laser is always better. Mine came out so great, that many people think they were made by the shop. Try to go to Target, they have a section of specialty computer invitation you can choose.

go to orientaltrading.com
they have nice cardstock for cheap and u can use their templates on the website for free! i did my save-the-date cards with cardstock from them (white with a simple pearlized line border) and i have already gotten so many compliments on how nice they are, even though they were just printed on the computer at home. check out the wedding section on the website, they have some good stuff. i know michaels crafts and staples office supply store also carry stuff like that.

it seems most people are going the do-it-yourself route today cause it is more affordable and so easy! the quality was quite nice from oriental trading for what i paid. and remember: invitations will be thrown away by most of your guests after they attend the wedding, so i feel it is one place to pinch pennies. Besides, u can get something for cheap that will look nice too. Go for it, i know i am (getting married 11-11-06) :)

I've seen three sets - they were terrible. They were off-center, the printing overlapped the decorations, some were difficult to read because of the low quality printer setting, and at least one set just looked cheap.

Willow tree lane has some inexpensive sets that are virtually the same cost as DIY kits - once you figure in ink costs, time spent setting them up, and extra envelopes. Costco also does invites, so if you are a member, be sure to check them out as well.

Yes, I used them for my wedding last year and I was very pleased with them. As my husband is better on the computer, I wrote out what I wanted them to say & he set them up and printed them. He even added a photo of us! We printed them in our wedding color, and I could not believe how nice they looked. Even figuring in the cost of the ink cartriges, they were less than half the price of the cheapest invitations I could find.

My sister did and they were really nice. I think the main thing it the quality of the paper, good paper takes the ink better and looks like a proffessional job!

I've used them to help friends do their invites as well as for bridal showers. All have turned out excellent. Just remember to practice first on plain paper so as not to waste any.

I haven't used them, but I have used the online invitaions and it worked great. I had to invite alot of people to my sister's wedding shower and most of them had an email address, so I didn't have to fill out amillion of invites, just one and add all the emails.....

My sis bought the ones at Micheals or Hobby Lobby, I don't remember, they both have them. Took them to KINCO's and they printed 150 for like $40. They looked really nice.
