Lately I have been down and sad, because of a certain someone a friend of mine. That I think I might lose their friendship. So the thought of that makes me very sad. They are not sick or anything. Just trouble in our friendship. I don't feel like doing anything any more because I'm scared. And its hurting me emtionally that I can't get back to my normal self that used to have energy.

Some of the symptoms you have mentioned are signs of depression, like loss of appetite, feeling sad and lack of energy. However, they are not sufficient for you to be diagnosed as depression. You have to have two at least of the following symptoms, and those symptoms should be going on for at least two weeks.
1. loss of interest in previously pleasurable activities.
2. suicidal ideas, or wishing to die
3. insomnia, disturbed sleep
4. guilt feeling, blaming of one`s self
5. lack of concentration
I suggest you consult a psychiatrist. He is the one who can decide if the condition is severe and needs treatment, or just a normal reaction to stress.

Well, it might just be the problem with your friend. But if you don't start to feel better within a few weeks, you may consider finding a councilor to talk to. They would have a better idea if you have depression or not.
