This is what I have to say about tattoos. Honey, you can get Hepatitis C from it. It is the most rampant cause of cirrhosis of the liver. There is a treatment for Hepatitis C, but only 50% of those infected will respond to given treatment; the rest get liver disease and die. I also just got my blood drawn yesterday to see if I have Hepatitis C. You see we just found out 4 days ago that my husband has it and that I could also have it because I have slept with him. It's no small matter. I'm sitting here scared wondering what the results will be. I hope my test results come back negative. Please pray for me. I also hope for your sake that you choose not to get the tattoo; it's just not worth it. :(

Additional Note: A lot of people say it's fine if you get it done at a sanitary professional place. What they don't tell you is it doesn't matter how sanitary it is because part of the ink that is used goes back into the ink vials. To show you what I mean...imagine drinking out of a straw. Part of the liquid in the straw goes back into the glass when you are finished. It may be a very small amount; however, it is the same concept with the clean needles and ink vials when people get tattoos. Once you get Hepatitis C you have to get interferon shots 3 times a week for 6-18 months and there is no guarantee that it will work or that you won't relapse. I sure hope my test comes back negative. I will just hate it if it doesn't, and it's so sad that my husband has this. We have an appointment set up with his doctor in a couple weeks to go over his treatment plan. I think people that get tattoos are crazy!!!!

This is a personal choice and no one should influence you either way. With that said you should consider a few things. The art you desire ( should have meaning and no names ), the location ( should be somwhere it can be covered when in an uncomfortable enviroment ( church, job interview, childs teacher conference, etc... ) and make sure you have it done by a REAL professional ( not @ a tatoo party, after you have been drinking or feeling depressed ) always ask questions and ask to see pictures of their prev work.If you consider all of these things first and still decide to get one you will be pleased. I have 3 and only regret the 1st one I got @ the age of 18. Good luck.

This sort of tattoo...just like the girl tattoo chiches : rose on the ankle, or butterfly on the lower back are more than a bit overdone.

It COULD potentially be cool, depending on the skill of the artist themself, and also the initial sketch for the tattoo.

It also could be really cheesy depending on those same factors.

How old are you first of all... cuz if you are under 18 it shouldn't matter what it looks like cuz you wont be able to get it at a reputable artists shop anyway. If you are over 18 and you have to ask others their opinion of what you should get, don't get one. Sounds to me as tho you are not ready yet. I have 3, yes they are addicting, I am also almost ...well much older than 18. I thought about mine for a long time before I decided what I wanted on my body for the rest of my life... good luck!

Not Cool, Tattoos make you look cheap!! You should have more respect for your body not to mention you could end up getting aids or some other disease from the needles. Think about it.

I think that sounds really cool. I have 3, and have my next 2 planned already. I have pics of them in my 360 page if you want to see them. I love tattoos, but some people, as shown in the answers above, think that they are aweful. to each their own!!! if you want it, then get it, if not, then dont. I would not get rid of any of mine for the world.

I'd say don't get any...I have one and I don't want it now...you never know if you will want it later on...you probably won't...Also mine is in color which is hard to remove by laser ( I have had a couple of expensive treatments to try) (which hurts a little more than getting it on did) the colors that are more like the skin color (like yellow) are difficult for the laser to tell which is ink and which is skin...so in summary "no" don't do it!

why get a tattoo? there are some possible health risks from getting tattoes such as infections, hepatitis b, AIDS from needle infections and etc.
you can be cool by dressing attractively and nice make-ups.

no, I would have thought it would look good, but when I actually saw the wings on peoples backs, it looks horrible and I feel sorry for them. I would go with a giant sperm above the crack of your *ss!
