b/c they think that they are prettier and fit in with society, (WHITE society). but in the long run lighter girls are the ones with the most problems and more insecure about life.

You are bugging. Live long enough, you'll see that it doesn't matter to a real man. I wish black people would stop worrying about their skin color, 'cause when it comes down to it we're all black. That's the box I check off and I'm considered "light-skinned", but I don't think I get more play than my darker skinned sisters. Stop dividing us into categories, according to this country we are all black. You are perpetuating stereotypes that keep black people from uniting and realizing their economic POWER and that we are standard for BEAUTY worldwide. Ain't nothin' in the world like some "brown sugar"--that includes us all. Stop that!!!
