got lice in 5th grade. it was horrible i was called to the office in the morning and had to stay there untill 2 in the afternoon.
Class picture day was that day and i had to run take the picture withought touching anyone and run back to the office. And just to make it worse , it was also the day that my class had planned a suprise birthday party for my teacher and i had bough 2 german chocolate cakes and i had to miss all of it. I cried so long. Luckly everyone in my class thought i had to go to the office for a family emergency and my teacher said that if anyone found out he would tell them all about how his children had gotten lice 3 times. so that made me feel a little better. but it still sucked

I think that some people automatically assume if you get lice that you are dirty and don't take care of yourself. If children at school come in close contact with another child with lice than they could get it too, like sharing hats, hair-ties, brushes, etc. I have never had head lice but my daughter came home from preschool with it after using another child's hair brush at school.

My daughter got lice from school and shared the little boogers with me. It was quite an ordeal getting rid of them but we finally did.

Me. I had lice and it took me a month to get rid of them. I even had to cut my hair short b/c it was so long and thick that the med. would go down to the scalp.

My grandchild did at school. It really pisses you off to have to spend money on the stuff to get rid up. And you have to spend time getting it out of your hair. Not fun.

I had lice once when thurr was an outbreak of it at school.

I did when I was 3. Got it from a kid in daycare with me. Haven't gotten it since then.
