I have ulcerative colitis and have the opposite of constipation. The only thing that can give you a firm diagnosis at this point would be a colonoscope. I too have had barium enemas, upper GI testing, etc. and it was only after the colonoscope that I was diagnosed. A colonoscope allows the doctor to actually see your colon. I was even allowed to watch. Yuk. However, you may have diverticulosis or IBS. Please get the scope done. At least you'll be able to find out what you have and treat it probably.

speaking from experience, i have had my whole colon removed.. very serious operation.... had to have 4 colostomy bags ( bags that are adhered to your outer skin to push fesces out ) you need to have that colonoscopy ASAP....... believe me., i'm 42 lady that happened 9 yrs. ago and i'm still having problems and on disability because of it..... my case was very complicated though... please check it out.... good luck....

Where is your pain? Is it in the colon? I have had something similar all my life.
