I believe within the next hundred years, religion as a whole will finally become regarded as nonsense, except for a few fundamentalist holdouts.

It will stop influencing our politics and so forth, and be reduced to small communities who will shut themselves off from the rest of the world (to keep from hearing the truth).

These small communities will be nothing more than remnants of the old days, and will basically be reduced to the basics of what they truly are... cults.

And these cults will either die off, have mass suicides, or try to kill the rest of us, before they are finally outlawed.

So yes, the end is near. And so is the beginning. :)

That's really a tough call to make. Even Jesus Himself admitted that He didn't know exactly when THAT would be when asked by His disciples.

But here's the thing: of all the hundreds of prophecies mentioned in the Good Book --which was written over a span of three thousand years by at least forty authors into sixty some odd books-- of all the prophecies by those visionaries, ONLY THREE or FOUR PROPHECIES or predictions are left UNFULFILLED!

That's quite a glaring indication of the End of Times, considering that the last ones were prophesied about two thousand years ago. So it could happen anytime soon, right?

And it's always best to be prepared since it will come "like a thief in the night..." as it is written.

Peace be with you!

The end of what? The same bible some preach "the end" from is the same bible that says God will set up a new millennium here on earth and make the earth new again, and the lion will lie with the lamb, and that the inhabitants of the earth will come and worship Him in the Temple all for a thousand years. And if the same gauge is used to judge how long that thousand years is going to be as is used to tell when "Jesus returns" than I'd have to say the end of the world would have to be at least 10,000 years from now.

People have been saying the end is near since the beginning of it all. So, lets put it this way, yes its nearer than it was then, but not so near as it will be when it happens.

Noone knows for sure, and living a life that is in fear of it is a bad thing. Its going to happen, but it doesn't matter when.

I believe the end of this world will come whenever God desides it should. He holds all the power in His hands that He could end it right now. He could either send His Son Jesus Christ back to earth to get the Christians and then the tribulation would begin(btw- would you be left behind?) or He could take your life and you would spend eternity in eithet Heaven with Christ or Hell with fire and pain and suffering and Satan. It is your choose where you will go. Accept Jesus into your heart as your Savior and you will go to Heaven, don't and youwill spend eternity in Hell. You choose. I would love to see and meat you in Heaven, but I can't save you. Only Jesus can! Not works and not people(btw- baptism is a work of obedience, not salvation).

Very, very near. Nearer than ever. The question you should ask is "Will it end in demise, or sweet redemption of us." The choice is up to our beloved leaders. Redemption is possible, where everyone gets everything; but, hey, that wouldn't be much fun for them. Thy want another form of ending. Can you guess what form ???

Well, golly gee, it was supposed to end yesterday with 6/6/6 and Devil's Day and all. I wouldn't have maxed out my credit cards if I had known the world wasn't going to end!
