what should i do? i love my mom but i also care alot about this guy and he treats me so good. and i dont want to loose him but i also dont want my mom to be so mad at me but i cant help how i feel about him... what should i do... just stop talkin to him?

I think your mother is wrong to make you decide this based solely on racial differences. If this guy treats you good and is a respectable then your mother should put her bigotry aside.

I'm in a relationship with someone of a different ethnic group and it's working way better than any previous relationship I had. Sounds like your mom's just having a hard time dealing with an unfamlliar situation. Talk to her.... over and over. See what she really thinks. You may not have to choose in the end. Just make sure he's worth it though. Think with your head, not your heart.

i think that if ur mom's that jealous about somethin like that, then it won't take much to make her mad/ jealous about anything else...if u truly love this guy, then go for it and keep him...if ur mom is gonna make u choose between the two of em, then she's gonna make ur life a living hell b/c she doesn't want u to be happy obviously and never will let u be happy...and if the guy is totally worth it and loves u, then keep him b/c he might be what u've wanted for awhile, and if ur mom's jealous about it, then maybe she's realized that ur happy now and so if she's that jealous about it, then maybe he's the one...get what i'm sayin, sorry i'm talkin in circles, just tryin to help ya get my point across...lol. good luck hun!

Probably lose the guy. I know your going to get a bunch of replys with the whole screw your mother bit and that she should except who you date and yada, yada, yada. But be realistic, your mother will be in your life until she dies. So her relationship is more important. I would start talking to her about this though. Maybe she will come around after a while.

Your mom should just be happy that you found a man that is going to treat you like a decent human being. Some women aren't so fortunate. Maybe if you try talking to her and try to get her to listen to your point of view.

Tough question and unfortunately very common. I think that you cant allow others to dictate who you fall for or will date. You have to make decisions about who you want to be with on your own. I wouldnt personally let my mother "make me choose". I would stay with the guy and if the mother wants to get out of my life because if it, I would say that SHE choose.

Listen to your mom. 99% of all those type relationships always end in failure. You do not even realize the failure you are setting yourself up for. Look at success in today's society, those type of relationships mostly cause a lot of hardships and drama on families.

i'm a female n i'm shy til u get to be responsive to me. i'm going to take a seat down in school quiet n no longer refer to everybody n wen ppl refer to me i'm getting apprehensive...... yet while ik u n have been acquaintances i'm lots extra outgoing .... I basically get apprehensive around extra modern human beings n i'm getting scared..... adult adult males continually calls me attractive n cute cuz i'm shy, short, have been given a good looking physique, im sweetheart til u piss me off, stuff like that......

Tell your mother that she needs to accept your choice. It is unfair of her to put you in such a position. Do what makes you happy though. You can't always do things to please other people.
