For the last two months I've given up eating red meat just to help me get healthier. I've never had any health problems (ex. blood pressure, chloesterol) but i don't want to start either. I am a little overweight but i get checked out yearly and i don't have any issues other than my doctor telling me i need to lose a little weight. I've noticed in the last two months that I have lost weight in my midsection without exercise and i know that the only thing im doing different is eating only turkey, chicken and sometimes codfish. I've heard different things from different people such as "Pork doesnt put anymore weight on you than any other meat" and then you have the people who say that " All red meat is bad for you". Don't get me wrong when i was eating red meat i wasnt a glutton for it my weight was mostly put on by being sedentary at work. I still eat the same amount of food that I've always eaten its just now there is no red meat involved. I'd just like to hear some other opinions.

Definitely. Every one remarks on how much weight I've lost and want to know what I did, but when I tell them they don't want to believe. It's been 3 yrs since I started this and have lost 35 lbs. I eat only chicken or seafood and at times no flesh at all. Pork is not considered red meat and is actually on par with chicken. Keep doing what you're doing, I think you're on the right track.

Yes, I was once on an only veg diet (medical, not weight loss diet) and I did lose a lot of weight. Red meat is not "bad" it just has more fat, but also more proteins than other kinds of meat. I'm back to meat now! When I stopped having meat I got way too skinny, now I am just thin and feel very happy with myself.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

Good choice. Leave the meat alone. you'll start to feel a big difference. It takes time but you will lose weight. I've lost weight since I stop eating meat and that been for about 13 years now and I feel great everyday.

Yes, fish and poultry have less fat and calories than red meat does. Pork is actually a white meat (as the commercial says). My brother put on a lot of weight when he sat sedentary at a security job--but his weight gain was due to drinking soda the whole day long. When he stopped drinking soda, he lost weight--then, he did transfer to a post with walking involved as well.

I totally don't advise you to lose weight this way. Red meat contains a lot of iron which you need for your blood, heart and many other things. Turkey and chicken just don't have that much iron in them.. Try other ways, sorry but exercise sounds so much more healthy to me. And if it doesn't help maybe your body is just meant to be that way? nothing wrong with that, really.

yeah i think some meat is good for you. protein=muscle growth=burning more fat even at rest.
you are eating healthy so that can help you loose weight.
not to scare you but weight loss can also mean that you are sick so it might be a good idea to get checked out again.
