It's a good thought, and the thought is what counts, just make a card and say Mom, you are like both parents to me, a mother and a father, happy Father's Day. She'll be happy with that. There's no cards made out there for Mom's on Father's day.

So you want a fathers/mothers day card? Something to indicate that she's both father and mother to you?

There's a Single Parents Day (it was in March); here's a site that has free greetings cards for single parents:

I wouldnt. That is what mothers day is for. If there isnt a father figure, then why buy one for your mother? If I were a single parent I wouldnt want a fathers day card too..

There are cards designed for step families, particularly for step dads that say 'You;re Just Like A Father To Me' and they are available from most card shops, which I guess could be appropriate.

However as a single mum myself, I have to say I would really hate to get a card like that, as it would make me feel guilty, yet again, that my kids don't have a daddy around?

First...that is an awesome idea!!!1 As a single parent they deserve at least to be recognized for both days!!! But I don't know where to find a card to buy for this...making one your self would hold much more meaning anyhow!!!!

Before my daddy died, I would always tell him, "Daddy, your the best Mom and Dad any girl could ever have"! I used send a Mothers day card to him every year. Just write your special comments inside the card, you will tickle her heart!

Sounds like the perfect opportunity to use one of those blank cards that let you write your own sentiment.

my kids always give me a father's day card and it is so special......they make one themselves or buy one and that says happy father's day, and put my name on it.
