This is yahoo. Geez. Some of you people ought to chill out. It's funny to see so many reactions from you people. Very amusing. You don't like my questions, then bugger off. You'r insults don't hurt me any. Maybe just get you reported.LOL

If the question I am answering is the same question I was asking a few years back, I would take it seriously.

I am sure some do. But these people are not the walking books of knowledge. Most people stick some bs answer down to get points. Others don't even bother trying they look up the answer on the Internet. That just shows me you figured out how to point, click, type and use a web browser. Then you have the typical I have a smart answer for everything. But who really cares? This thing is just something to pass the time. I know most of the people on here either have no life, no education, or no career. Or some do and like me they pass their time waiting until 5 o clock to roll around. But let's face it, advice from a bunch of people on a basic "forum" because it's almost what it is, a forum. These people have no degree in Psychology. They are not counselors. They are just like the rest of us, people. Leading an average life.

Well, there are two ways to look at it: I have asked a few technical/computer/software questions, plus a risky doctrinal question, and was very pleased with the quality of answers I received. As for philosophy, culture and other frivolous stuff, I think most people take it all with a grain of salt. It's all lot of hooey and fluff, and people just have fun experimenting with ideas and expressing their opinions. With all due respect, it seems as if you might be taking this forum a bit too serious yourself. Relax. It's a free-for-all, and it's a hoot.

I believe we are all searching for truth in our own way led by a force greater than ourselves. Some find it in Questions and Answers where they can be anonymous. Some do it by seriousness, some by jest. Some do it by rudeness, some by concern for the well being of others. Some do it for hate, Some do it out of LOVE. You choose.

You people what do you mean by you people?? Lol just kidding. I think you need to weed through the bs sometimes to get to the answers. Some people have legitimate questions that need answers, and some people want to answer them. Overall Its enjoyment. Win-win situation.

HAHAHAHA! I agree...I commented a question one time..and some random guy read it, and sent me this LONG comment about how I needed to stop being rude, when I all I said was this question is retarded. Everybody is soo uptight on here. Sit back, relax! It's really not a big deal.

It depends entirely on the question.

Some people post questions that demand serious answers, such as the girl who asked about being raped as a child.

Others are not to be taken seriously.

i don't really take them to heart except for trying to learn something.
if i see a serious question i try to anwser it to the best of my ability.
one time some guy sent me an e-mail calling me names because a dog was driving him insane. this was because i anwsered his question.
i just didn't want him to wind up like son of sam.
i can't remenber most of the people who's questions i anwser, but i hope i don't insult anyone.

i take questions seriously, unless i can tell the person asking isn't being serious. i think it's cool that people are taking the effort to keep the site interesting and educational (i.e., reporting abuse, writing comments)... the more people who join the easier it becomes to let yahoo answers! go to crap. and then... what's left?... stupidity you can get everywhere else.

I haven't seen any of your other questions so I can't judge them. I tend to answer the more serious questions myself. If I see a question I don't like I simply won't answer it.
