There's no problem with that as long as their taken care of.

I bet she doesn't have a mouse problem! Seriously, as long as there is adequate food, water and shelter what's the problem? I applaud her efforts to rescue (?) unwanted pets. I would certainly have her investigate the possibility of applying for non-profit status and have her farm declared a feline rescue facility. That way it's all on the up and up and none of her closer neighbors can force her to get rid of them. That way she can also adopt them out and get federal grants (in the U.S. ) to help with food and shelter costs in relation to the cats.

Yes let her!! It will be fun for you when she completes her trip down Senility Lane and you get to deal with the "Collection".

And 100 animals are not "pets". She cannot provide the proper care and attention for 40 cats, let alone whatever else she has.

Not if she can't properly care for them. And "grandmother" needs to be aware that cats can live 20 years, so that's the timeframe of care that's being considered here. Not to mention expense of food and healthcare.

Its only good if they are fed, vaccinated, and litters are kept clean. If not its abuse :S... there was a women in the states some time back who had 50 cats and they were all not taken care of..some were vaccinated litters were never cleaned :( if not :) good grandma :)

I guess. That isn't very smart though. The more pets that she has the harder it will become to take care of them all but atleast there won't be mice!

This question just sounds a little too fishy for me.
