Me and a good friend have been experiencing feelings for each other for a while. We've both established that. We're out for the summer and he's two hours away. He wants more than friendship but I don't feel comfortable offering him what I've been offering if he can't make a commitment. He says that we're going to be together one day, but I need to wait until he gets himself together. Should I wait or is this just a line to keep me from talking to other people?

If he can't commit and all he can offer you is friendship then I suggest you get out there and meet other people. If it's meant to be later on then it will happen. No sense in wasting time life is way too short.

If I were you, I would date other people. Life is too short to spend it sitting around waiting for someone that isn't even ready to commit. Tell him you're still intersted but you want a relationship right now and if he isn't willing to be with you right now, you will look elsewhere. If you still want to be with him by the time he finally comes around, go out with him I guess.
But make sure he knows that you still want to be with him before you date other people.
good luck!! :)

Waiting will show you true he is or not. By waiting do you mean a week or months? Talk to him about dating only you and what dose that mean to him. If he will not commit to that, then look around there are other guys that will.

Sounds like a line, nothing makes true love wait. Sounds like to me you think a little bit more of him than he does of you.

He's using you for the time being, dump him and "offer what you are offering" to some one who will love and appreciate you...

I wouldnt put my life on hold unless you can truely say that you love him beyond a shadow of a doubt.

If you don't feel comfortable with something more, then don't do it. Go with your gut feeling--99% of the time, it is right.

no because someone might just take him or her away from you if you wait they just might move away and they wont talk to you unless you get their phone#
