Yes. Although most Rotties have the short smooth coat we are most familiar with, the rottweiler does carry a recessive gene which produces a longer coated variety. Although a long coat is listed as disqualification in the AKC breed standard, these pups are still registered with the AKC (most breeders would sell these pups with a limited registration).

Yes. And see...somepeople think it is "rare". What it is is wrong. That is why the AKC disqualifies them.
