no. one xray isnt enough to harm you really, but if you were an X ray tech or something and were constantly exposed to the stuff and didnt take any preventative measures, then it may be a concern.

I work in operating theatres with Xray all the time. The radiation given off is very small and for a patient having a one off operation they arent exposed long enough for any risk. As i'm constantly exposed im protected by lead aprons and have a measuring devise to monitor how much radiation i'm accumulating therefore im not at risk. The only time i wouldn't take any chances was if i was pregnant

Having any sort of diagnostic imaging must carry some risk, however if the question is whether a properly carried out imaging procedure carries any risk then the answer is infinitesmal.
Unless of course you suffer from Munchausens Syndrome and are a "frequent flyer" in which case you would need a psychiatrist.

No,when I worked in an orthopaedic hospital we always wore lead aprons, when we took x-rays of patients(just the hospital covering themselves,in case we got sick),however I had several x-rays taken, 4 years ago,in a short space of time and I'm fine.
