What does you being 45 have to do with letting a 17 year boy stay over with your 14 year old daughter?? The fact you condone the relationship is disturbing enough. NO.

No 45 year old writes like you do, sweetheart.
Your 17 year old boyfriend needs to find a girl his own age, and you need to enjoy being 14 and not try to grow up too fast.
No mother in her right mind would allow it.

I think jd is right......you need to do some reading and talk to others who have gone through what you could be facing in your future. And to answer the question.... no way would my 14 year old daughter be dating a 17 year old MAN. Just my opinion.

Not only no, but HELL NO! Why would you even need help making this decision? Allowing him to stay doesn't mean you have more control over what they do. It's like allowing your kids to drink while you're around. It's not going to keep them from becoming alcoholics! You're almost giving permission to promiscuity! Good luck with this one, but I'd be damned if I'd let a gf or bf spend the night in my house!

You should not let this guy sleep at your house. Are you crazy? Your child is 14!!! I can't believe you are even contemplating this. And why is your daughter even allowed to be dating a 17 year old?????

Absoluetly not, that's just asking for trouble.

Even if you were to put them in seperate rooms, you cannot guarantee that they won't sneak around to be together. Unless of course you plan on sleeping in the same room as she is, and you're a very light sleeper and would wake up. But then that's still no guarantee.

No way! Why does she have a 17 year old bf in the first place. IMHO 14 year olds shouldn't even have a bf yet. They aren't old enough.

My guess is you are the 14 year old daughter and you are trying to convince your parent to allow this. As much as you don't want to hear it, this is the time of your life that boys, boyfriends and being involved in sexual activities should not be the foremost priority in your mind. I'm almost positive you will ignore that, so please visit the teen pregnancy section of this site (or google it) and talk to some other people your age. Almost always, they didn't think pregnancy and/or sexually transmitted diseases could happen to them. Please be careful.
