your gonna need a BIGGER budget--my 46" LCD was $1,800 at best buy---a plasma of the same size --around $7,500--if your only planning of spending $1,600--your gonna get cheap or HOT!!Good Luck!!!

Actually Plasma sucks because of burn-in and LCD causes a ghosting effect. Buy a Samsung DLP. You can get a 46" on for that money. It has virtually no problems. No burn-in , no aging, and it can double as a computer monitor.

Dont buy a plasma. They dont last. Buy an LCD; Sharp, Sony.

Buy a LCD Projector Instead 160'' picture...and super colour
Buy a small CRT for Casual Tv and use the PROJECTOR for
MOVIES

The only advice i can give is stay away from Philips
