Yeah, he'd probably scratch the living hell out of you, but give it a try.

Scary as it may sound I have seen a video of a collie dog in freefall - he honestly seemed to be enjoying it but I'm not comfortable with the concept.
As cats have no parts that aren't sharp I wouldn't recommend it ... it would be like going on a water-slide with a Tasmanian devil.
Interesting that the UK progression system is cat 1 -10 ... maybe they are trying to tell us something (or maybe not).
=8-)

I strongly advise that you don't do that. Cats by rule aren't afraid of heights but the motion of plummeting from the sky to the ground may make him do one of the following or all of the following: he or she may get scared of the rushing wind sounds and scratch and bite you; get so scared he or she may have a cardiac arrest; it may develop seizures on the way down to the ground; and if it did survive, and nothing bad happened to your cat then it may reject you and never trust you again.
Take my advice. If you want to skydive, you do it solo. Leave your cat at home where he or she is safe and healthy. Good luck to both of you. Cats are precious creatures with feelings and emotions similar to humans. Enjoy them as much as you can...they can become our best friends.

I think skydiving is a bad risk, it's hard enough on humans, why are you going to do this to a cat?!
I think before you do this, you ought to talk to a vet, or someone who doesn't just think the idea of skydiving is 'neat' 'cool', but possibly deadly.
Put another way, your way out of bounds on this, you don't traumatize a pet because YOU THINK IT'S NEAT.

If you love your cat, I would say no. To him, it's not a fun and thrilling experience, it is someone throwing him out of a plane, and he doesn't know whether or not something is going to break his fall. I know cats always land on their feet but I'm not sure exactly how high he can fall from before his feet break on impact... haha... If it weren't for the fact that he would probably have a heart failure and die of fright I would say go for it.

Come on...are you tipsy?
Cats are easily traumatized! You could try but expect your cat to be dosile, unfriendly and stress afterward!
Goodluck!
