Me and my guy friend have long periods of silence during conversations, does this mean we're not meant for each other? Both of us aren't very talkative people but we both feel very comfortable around each other and enjoy spending time with each other; but I keep getting paranoid that some outgoing talkative social butterfly is going to take him away from me even though I don't think thats his type.

Hi there.

I am the same with my fella. We sometimes dont talk for hours just ask for cup of coffee ect.

We have been together for 7 years and this has never bothered us.

I think over talking can be worse than not talking.

Enjoy your time together. I am sure if he wanted a 'parrot' he would have gone by now.

Just be happy and i wish you all the best!!!

you answered your question urself! "not his type" yup i wouldn't even doubt a relationship like this...coz to me that's the best one! the way i look at it is this...you guys have so much understanding bet you two...that words are not even necessary.

the worst thing that anyone can do to their relationship is being INSECURE and that's what ure doin...so forget it and be happy...keep making sure though that he likes it this way! goodluck! :)
