beacuase your body is dehydrated, you should drink ots of water before you go to sleep, have a multi-vitamen before bed helps too. it also depends on factors before you even start drinking such as how much food you have in you, your metabolism etc.

hangovers hurt more then they used to.. oh wait that's a song.. actually hangovers hurt becuase you have deprived your body of most likey things it needs like sleep and hydration. Alcohol is a dehyrdator, so drink more ( not alcohol) water and make sure you drink a big glass when you wake. Also alcohol is a depressant, so your body may not want to bounce back as quickly as you would like. Try to make sure you eat well before and drink in moderation

Because your body is having "withdrawals" from the large amount of alcohol consumed the night before

Because you've overloaded your system with alcohol. Most of the time you're dehydrated to some degree.

Dehydration. I try to drink Gatorade the morning after, if I'm not too sick.
