Please take him to the vet. It may need to be cleaned out and sutured. If the injury was from another cat it has a very high chance of becoming infected as well, so your cat may also need antibiotics.
Hope it heals well.

Take him to the vet immediately, my cat got into a bad fight like that when he was a kitten and ended up getting feline aids because of it, and you don't know what kind of diseases the other cat has or could give to your cat. Besides if the wound gets infected it can kill your cat, or make him very sick. So just for precautionary reasons take him to the vet.

no it probably wont. you must take your kitty to the vet. it may or may not be too late for suturing, but he will possibly need an antibiotic to prevent or treat infection. cats are succeptible to getting infections between the layers of skin that slide over the muscle. it is advisable to have your cat treated immediately as infections can be bad and animals die all the time from untreated wounds that have infected. he cannot take himself so it is up to you "mom" to take him to a vet. if money is an issue tell the vet and see if they will do a discount for you, many will if asked. if they wont find a nicer vet, but quick though.

It sounds like your cat needs a vet to help him or her heal. Cat injuries can vary and their needs can only be met by a veternarian. For your sake and the sake of your cat please take it to the vet. Pets are precious friends to us humans and need our love and support and our caring for their health and well being. Good luck to you both!

it depends how deep it is and if your cat is walking on it ....you might just have to bandage it up to keep it from getting infected but more than anything i would take it to the vet.

My cat had the same thing and i thought it was nothing. He died 4 days later. Don't wait. You never know what bit your cat and what disease it transmitted.
