As a avid player myself I am very curious. I have noticed that the attitudes and perceptions have changed over the last few years. I am really interested in anyone who can give my their honest opinion and personal experiences. I am strictly a NL(no limit) player, and am interested in info about live poker room games, not really internet rooms, so I'd perfer reflection from that game if possible. Do you look at her as an equal, do her looks come in as a factor...her age? How about personality, the flirt VS the bit*ch VS the quite mousey type? Does live game play differ from tournaments? Thanks to all who answer, especially those who do it honestly.

I both play and deal THE. I view woman at a table as dangerous. Especially those that flirt. If you're flirting with me, I know you're trying to get me out of my game. Now if you flirt AWAY from the table.. it's on! *grins* I think most men underestimate women at a poker table. Now, all that being said... women tend to play more conservatively than men, particularly women who know how to play. Overall, I love the improvement in scenery a woman brings to a game, but I am very cautious about how she plays.

I have been playing LIVE poker in rooms now for about five years, Internet play is to rigged so I don't have an opinion that.

However in most poker rooms the Lady's that play during the week are for real and dangerous, weekend players(Lady's) are less aggressive and more towards playing safe.

The flirts will draw you away from your game and some Lady's tend to use this to there advantage, but after a while you learn to react to this as a TELL and not fall into it as much.

I have lost to and won form Lady's just like everyone who plays and the slickest of the slick is Jennifer Harman. She is slick style your game after her and you will do great things in the poker rooms, plus every one will love you.

I've noticed that most women I have played with are inclined to be a little less aggressive and bluff less than men. I always view all players as good/dangerous until they prove otherwise. But as far as changing my game play I tend to respect a raise from a woman a little more than a typical male player. I have also noticed at least among the women I have played against at various levels some of them have an annoying tendency to become calling stations when their pot odds do not justify the call to draw to their hand.

I've never noticed any difference in the way girls play poker, they just aren't as common. I think it would be a mistake to consider women fundamentally different in how they play.

I think it's just more common to find women (i.e. on Friday nights with your buddies) who play casually but don't take the game seriously enough to be a threat . That's how women get stereotyped.

Honestly, though, I think it can be distracting to any man if a woman is very good-looking and happens to flirt a little. No (straight) man can resist this tactic 100%.

i have to admit, i can get sucked in by a female player... where as i have no mercy on my fellow man, some kind of politeness that my father taught me to have toward women kicks in at the table. i've been getting better about it. the fact is, sex doesn't matter, a good player is a good player and we are all there to win. if you're looking for an advantage, go with the flirt tech. i think there are a lot of guys out there who are suckers for that, i mean, we are still guys after all... hope that helps, and good luck at the tables

If you want honest--I am not trying to insult anyone--the women I have played cards with tend to be weaker than the men I play cards with. Would I leave or be insulted if a woman was at the table? Heck no! I would probably assume that she was not that good until she proves otherwise...not based on anything other than her gender. Is that wrong? Yes. Will it get me in trouble? Probably. It is just my experience.

really some male celebrities are short or a minimum of truly accepted in length and sure lady celebrities do have male followers yet on condition that they prefer the song or regardless of that's that they make or do, performing/making a song etc, merely being a celebrity would not decrease it.

I look at every poker player as my equal...a woman's money is as green as a man's. May the best player win.

i honestly dont want to lose to a girl. less than a hundred years of femalie liberation is not going to erase centuries of male dominance.
