WHAT AN EXCELLENT QUESTION! BY TAKING YOUR MEDS AND STAYING ON THEM. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT IS THAT SIMPLE? THE WHOLE THING HINGES (DEPENDS TOTALLY) UPON TAKING THOSE MEDS DAILY AND STAYING ON THEM AND NOT STOPPING IF YOU START TO FEEL OKAY. I HAVE KNOWN TWO PEOPLE SO FAR IN MY LIFE WHO STOPPED TAKING THEIR MEDS WHEN THEY BEGAN TO FEEL OKAY AND WITHIN DAYS THEY BEGAN TO SLIP AGAIN, AND THE WHOLE CYCLE STARTED OVER AGAIN. IF YOU WANT A GOOD LIFE AND A GOOD SOURCE OF INCOME (CASH FLOW) IN MY OPINION, IT ALL HINGES TOTALLY UPON TAKING YOUR MEDS AND STAYING WITH THEM, NO MATTER WHAT. IF YOU WILL JUST DECIDE TO STICK WITH YOUR MEDS, YOU CAN BUILD A NEW LIFE AND HAVE A GOOD JOB AND EVERYTHING ELSE WILL BEGIN TO FILL IN POSITIVELY AROUND YOU. TRY AS YOU MAY, I BELIEVE YOU WILL SOMEHOW FIND YOUR WAY TO THIS TRUTH ABOUT TAKING YOUR MEDS, NO MATTER WHAT. I WISH YOU EVERY SUCCESS WITH THIS BECAUSE I KNOW IF YOU USE YOUR GOOD SENSE YOU WILL COME TO SEE HOW IMPORTANT MEDICATION IS TO GETTING YOUR LIFE THE WAY YOU REALLY WANT IT. GOD BLESS YOU, AND I WISH YOU (AND AM PRAYING FOR) YOUR TRIUMPH OVER WHAT MUST BE A VERY PAINFUL CIRCUMSTANCE. YOU CAN BEAT BIPOLAR DISORDER. OTHERS HAVE. SO CAN YOU. STCI K WITH YOUR MEDS, NO MATTER WHAT. SENT TO YOU WITH LOVE FROM GORDY IN SOUTH PORTLAND, MAINE.

I also am bipolar and you need to see a mental health doctor to get the right medicines and if you work find another job that is less stressful and one where your not in the public eye as much. I use to work in the public eye for many years then I had to find another job so I decided to go into the field of home health services. I went to visit different patients on a one on one basic. I did this till I retired.

You would likely have to live in income based housing, and live within your means. Your income would be based on your past work income if you have ever worked. You might have to live with a family member. If you are bipolar there is medication you can take to get your life back. See a trusted doctor. Many people have bipolar and work, go to school and raise a family. Good luck my friend.

See if you can work from home, or at least as much as possible. Some companies give working moms the okay to work from home, so there's no harm in looking into it for your medical reasons.
If it's the job itself, look into doing something different. And try maybe meditating, taking time for yourself, exercising, etc. to deal with the stress. Remember, you're responsible for how you feel. People will always be a**holes, and you can't change that, but you can change how you deal with them. Good luck!

First of all you need to understand that just because you get upset easily doesn't mean you have bipolar disorder. If you have bipolar disorder then you can't control your mood swings. And I have known a few people that had it and all of them found ways to function with no problem.

Dont go on disability, instead find a job where you don't work with people. Or learn the skills to overcome the bipolar disorder.....

You need to find a different job. I found the perfect job. I work in an office by myself and only communicate with others via fax, email, and the occassional phone call. It is IDEAL.

if you are clinically diagnosed by a physician, it may require affidavits of 2 physicians, that you CAN NOT work, you may apply for Social Security Disability benefits (SSDI). Call your local Bar Association (free) for a referral for a lawyer whose practice/expertise is in obtaining disability benefits.

Yeah, Scott's got it. Or find a way to get yourself on a budget and to be productive, if you're able to, you could do some volunteer work somewhere.
