You can not lose 40 lbs in 2 months. Not with damaging your health. Then I don't think it is possible. I think counting calories is the best diet because if you have a craving you can have it. Just keep up with the calories and walk 4 or 5 times a week to help burn calories. Never go below 1200 calories a day. Good luck.

Focusing on a 2 month period could be damaging.
It didn't take 2 months to get where you are.
First take an inventory of whats in your fridge and cabinets.
Toss ALL the junk food and high carbs.
Come up with a sensible eating plan. Try to cut out 10% of your daily caloric intake. So if after you have looked at how much you take in DAILY say 2500 calories then get rid of 250 calories somewhere. Might be a couple of sodas, a doughnut, some candy etc.
Walk at the bare minimum 15 mins a day. Focus on a good pace that you can walk and just be able to talk at the same time. A sustained heart rate cranks up the fat burning.
Once a week. Repeat..only once a week have a day to eat the things you like. Cookies, ice cream whatever. This will satisfy some cravings without totally depriving yourself.
Things I did to help me lose weight and just feel better was I CUT out french fries. No breads M-F. Only on the weekends. Lots of water. Fruits and veggies. Red meat maybe once a month.
I also started getting away from sugar substitutes. Splenda etc.. those things make you CRAVE SUGARY stuff. If I have a cup of coffe somewhere and put in some Sweet n Low or whatever Im craving chocolate in a big way. STAY away from that stuff.
But whatever you do..do something daily. Move your feet more than your fork. Walk with friends. Get active with other people and do something you enjoy. Be patient. Thats the killer of all people getting back in shape. Have realistic goals in mind. Stay positive and just make steps day by day and let the results take care of themselves...
GOOD LUCK

I lost 35 pounds in one month. It's not your average diet that everyone talks about but rather one that you do because you're proud of how well your doing. I find that once you do good on the first day you will try hard on the second day. If you cheat on the first day then you don't give a **** on the second day and so forth. It starts a routine and the beginning is the most important step. When you eat something and feel guilty about it then write it on a list. And if u eat that thing again then put 5 bucks in a jar and give it to someone u dont like at the end of the week. It will keep you from wanting to cheat. The first time u give them the money will make you not want to cheat the next time. Exercise everyday for at least half an hour. Like crunches and pushups or something in place of these. But you need to get your muscles working. It may be tough and uncomfortable but seeing the results will make it easier each time you work out. Losing weight is like saving money. You save and save and don't get anything out of saving except for the satisfaction of knowing you have more and more in your account. Then at the end of the year it pays out big when you get to buy your car or in the case of weightloss when you get the show off your bod.

Here is some good advice. Work out atleast 1 hour for five days a week. You can eat whatever u want JUST DONT ABUSE. Eat till you are full then stop and also try eating in small portiona so you dont expand your stomac. Dont eat ALOT of fruits because, it may be natural, but there still is sugar in there. The sauna does help because your body is made up of alot of water so when u sweat, u lose water and you lose some weight do the water loss too. U dont have to go on a diet or anything but eat sensibly. Btw, if you want to keep the pounds off, ur gonna have to change your lifestyle to this for the rest of yourself or else all the weight will come back.

Go to a communist prison camp.
Realistically you want to lose about 2 pounds a week.
Theoretically if you go on a full blown olympic style training regimen and careful eating you could lose 40 pounds in 2 months but the amount of time and effort to invest is way beyond most people's capacity since they have jobs, lives, children.
if you really want to give it a shot, try bill phillips "body for life". It has a brutal 3 month workout routine and eating plan. Just be prepared to take 3 months out of your life for nothing but exercise.

Pills don't do anything anyways. Cut your calories by 500. (take a normal days meal and cut 500 calories from it) and walk for 30 mins a day. Lift weights if you can. They will build muscle which in turns burns fat. I learned it's better to do it this way.
I did the Atkins diet before. That diet regulated only so many carbs in a day that I was so hungry. I lost 55 lbs in 3 months but after a year.. I gained all my weight back.
Good luck!

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!
