Pour vinegar over it, hanging it in the tub. You can also try Aloe Vera lotions to help "cool" it. Use Ibuprofren to help with the pain. It sounds like a second-degree burn (because of the swelling) It's just going to take longer to heal. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water, and expect a mild fever and a headache- even nausea. You should start peeling after a week or so.

If your heartbeat is unusually elevated, you have diffuculty breathing, have severe vommiting or diarrhea or other signs of heatstroke- go to the ER.

It should scare you! Make sure to stay inside (it won't get worse unless you go back outside with no shoes on) and make sure that you take some aspirin and drink plenty of water. If the swelling doesn't go down in about 4-6 hours, then it would be a good idea to see a professional. Don't put any lotion, etc on your skin because it will clog your pores and prolong the problem!

You need to get your foot in cool water immediately. do not use ice. Use aloe from the plant if you have it, or antiseptic gel. soak for 15 min several times a day. You should see a Doc if it isn't better by the next day.

NO, you do not need to see a doctor. That's perfectly normal to swell like that. If you can find/buy fresh aloevera plant, break it open and put the ooze on your burn. My friend got bad blisters from the sun and used fresh aloe, and it worked like a charm!

I had second degree sunburns on my feet and lower legs once, and I didn't go to the doctor. I couldn't wear shoes for a week. I wish I'd gone though. I think you should go see a doctor.

You can apply an ice pack for a short term solution. But you must go to a doctor to make sure there arent any other effects.

That sounds kind of odd. I would see a doctor and explain your concerns. I don't know much about the subject - but I would tell him one of your concerns is sun poisoning.

Take asprin for the pain. Also put cold yogurt on your foot it will soothe the pain and maybe help the swelling. Keep putting cold compres on it. I dunno how much help a doctor would be since there isn't much you can do about a sunburn. It just has to go away on its own. I've been there. Eventually it'll go away.
