Take some benedryl, asap. You don't want to take the chance of it becoming worse.Anaphalaxis is not fun, believe me! If at all possible, try to get on a long acting anti histamine.Claritin(loretidine) is over the counter now, and acts pretty fast. Most antihistimines will help with the throat irritation. You could also try drinking a cold drink. The cold will soothe the inflamation.

I actually had the same thing. Check that your tonsils aren't swollen. My tonsils were the size of golf balls and I needed medication to get them to go down. I still have to take the meds for the next 5 days or so but the swelling was gone after like a day and a half and alas, I could swallow again. Hoorah... Just go to a walk in and get a prescription. It's called novamoxin. A type of peneciline (spell check).

Oi, must be really irritated.
This happens to me alot.
An old Remedy that has been passed down from Generation to Generation in my family is:

- Drink a full cup of lemon, swallow it!
This will help, if you can't take the lemon, add some sugar!

Good luck.Feel better.

Try benadryl syrup. Sometimes I can drink a bit of Coca-Cola and that helps.
