Of course you can still wear white!! You could where pink, green etc... Weddings are not as formal as they used to be. I plan to wear white and i'm not a virgin. If anyone has a problem with it thats too bad...its YOUR day!!

I think it's acceptable these days. I know a lot of people who wore white.
Sometimes people choose ivory or cream but I don't see the need,it's advertising the fact that you felt it wasn't appropriate to wear white and I don't think in 2006 any woman needs to do that to herself.
men don't have to go through this dilemma, they just wear a suit and that's it.
Wear whatever you feel happy with and have a nice day :)

The white dress symbolized something pure and uncorupted. Sweetheart I had 3 children before i got married. But when i met my husband and grew to know and love him, MY LOVE for him was pure and uncorrupted. Nowadays the sybolism behind the white dress is not what it used to be. Whatever makes you happy then do it. As long as your love for him is pure and uncorrupted and you honor your vows to each other, I'll bet he won't care what you wear. And he is what truly matters. When my husband and i renew our vows in Aug, you can bet I'll be wearing WHITE.

I say yes, its YOUR day so do whatever you want to do! The whole not wearing white thing is so 1950's. In this day and age nobody pays attention anymore. So get the brightest, whitest, most virginal dress you want! =)

No. The virgin police will hunt you down, perform a pelvic exam, and then shoot you. I hear they stake out the local bridal shops and will occasionally raid them, doing exams right in the dressing rooms.
Of course you *can*. It's up to you if you want to. I see nothing wrong with it for a first wedding. : )
