He's sleeping as a natural reaction to the healing process. Get some meat out of the fridge place it in front of his nose. If he gets up he's healed if he eats it and rolls over and goes back to sleep he's still healing. If he does not wake-up he is really hurt and should be taken to another vet for a second opinion.

Perhaps you need to get out more. Make a kennel for your dog in the freezer and let him sleep in there, dump your horse-eating friend and buy a goldfish.. then take that for walks.

It seems he is still under the influence of the anesthesia. Please call your vet and tell him/her of the problem. They can give medicine for that.
It took one of my dogs 3 weeks to get back to normal.
Oh, are you giving him pain reliever prescribed by the vet? Rimadyl and other pain relivers do sedate the dog, and make him sleep more... If so, he will be fine when the pain medicine is stopped.

Put him to sleep as in euthanize him? If that's the case, I'm sorry to say you can't wake him up.

just let him sleep for a few days.. after a while you will start to smell a foul odor. let him continue to sleep a few more days. you will see flys start to gather.
let him sleep a few more days still. his flesh will start to become rancid and start to peel off his body...
mabe you can try to wake him up then..

when a vet puts an animal to sleep, it doesn't mean it's literally gone to sleep, it means that the vet kills the animal humanly.
