At the office I work in, clients come in and fill out paperwork at the counter in front of my desk. It is so annoying to hear them ask the questions aloud and then answert hem aloud before writing it down. I want to tell the to shut the fduck up but I can't. I'm in a horrible mood today, please forgive me in advance for anything I might say or do.

How else would they know what they were thinking?

Ask to have your desk moved or put up some privacy glass or have the counter moved.

Ha ha ha - that is annoying. I think reading aloud / answering aloud helps people comprehend the question, then organize their thoughts and give a more thoughtful response. Sometimes saying something aloud or listening to ourselves saying it helps our brain to process information.

It just reminds me that they've forgotten to use their eyes.

Feel free to mumble the following when you hand them the application:

"Embrace your inner smurf."
"Line three: when do you shower?"
"Question five: Are you alive or thoughts that drift away?"
"Item Two: Erect a catapult using your left foot and a box of crayons. You have five minutes."
"I'll need to see your alien registration card. No, not Mexico, I can tell you're from Venus."

I know exactly what you mean. I hate it when I am on the phone with someone and they do it - because then I start to tune them out because they are talking to themselves, so when they say something to me, I am still ignoring them! Oops...!
