My dog is 14 and I heard tons of people saying that she was already past her lifespan???????Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My dog deosn't do tricks never has, what's another sign she's okay?

The average lifespan is not always good to go by. Check out how a bell curve works in statistics. The majority of dogs live 14 years plus or minus a year. Some dogs can live longer and some don't make it past ten. It's like predicting an earthquake. You never know. The dog will show signs in the last months. They change behavior drastically. So, if the dog still runs after the ball, he/she is OK.

Don't listen to other people about lifespan. That is like hearing them say "So you are 90 so you are pass your lifespan". If your dog is acting and doing the same things she has always been then don't worry about it. If you have concerns take her to a vet who will perform a specific geriatric evaluation. Then you will have your answers

Large breeds tend to live fewer years due to a larger, harder-working heart. If your pup seems happy and healthy, though, don't worry about the naysayers and enjoy your time with her! She beat the stats.
