I've had cats and kittens for many years both indoors and outdoors and to be honest I've never known them to have a favorite color. But I'm not saying they don't either. My best advice is to decorate your apartment in the colors that suit you. Your cat will learn to adjust. How old is your cat and is he or she very playful? If your cat is very playful try to avoid covers or blankets or rugs with strings or beads. They love playing with them and may even eat them. Avoid fancy dangly lamp shades or anything that would look like something interesting that a cat may try to jump for. Use commonsense and you and your cat will get along beautifully. Have plenty of toys for him to play with. Avoid toys that have bungy strings or strings on a plastic pole because these toys should only be played with when you are present. It would be too easy for your cat to get carried away with playing and he or she could accidentally strangle themselves with it. Buy some balls with bells in them, chew toys for cats, and also leave plenty of fresh water and dry food for your cat to eat. Pick a spot that would be suitable for a litter box. Preferrably in a room without carpet, say the bathroom for instance. But if you don't have a room without carpet, place a plastic table cloth down on the floor and put the litter box on top of it. Then the litter will get on the table cloth and not in your carpet as quick. Good luck to you and your cat! Animals are wonderful gifts and precious treasures to us humans.

Nail the cat to the wall in a prominent place in the room.

Cats like green and yellow (green and yellow are usually the color of cats eyes).
Paint rooms whatever color eyes your cat has. It'll work and make them happy.

Any color will work. How about getting another cat to keep it company while you are gone?

Cats don't give a rats *** about color.. are you insane? Food, water and empty cardboard boxes are all they need.
