Where do you live now? The best is to have them fly in pet carrier's. The airlines will take great care of your pets. Maybe ask a friend to bring them in a car, letting them out every so often for potty and food.

When I have moved, I used a crate in the car. We stopped often for walks, food, and water. They didn't really eat, but water is more important.

I am assuming that you are not driving. How do you travel back and forth?
For that distance, I would think a train would be best. Is there train service there?
