I guess that people think it's okay nowadays, but just because it's okay doesn't mean that you automatically get a kiss ;)

I think that the idea was that people should get to know each other before they touched. That way, things didn't happen too quickly. People had a chance to work out who they liked to be with on an intellectual level too... but I guess even then people still kissed on the first date if they felt like it. Me, I take more time, but it's my life and I do as I see fit.

I have a song from the 30s, 'Dinner at Eight' by Carl Brisson. The man sings romantically about holding hands- just holding hands! That was a major event, just two people sat there enjoying a meal, and, discreetly, the feeling of each others hands... and, before kissing, that was a major event for me too... but that's a different story!

There is nothing wrong with a kiss on a first date! But if she says she is not ready than take it slow, don't worry that kiss will come along some time or another!

I do not think it is wrong, generally it depends on the date, if the moment is right a kiss would be perfectly lovely to say goodnight, I like u etc.

Who told you that! Heck no kiss and kiss all night long! I had a date Sunday and we didn't and boy do I regret it now. That kiss makes the whole difference! Go for it! Don't wait, I know I wont do that again!
