From what I've seen, dogs will hump just about anything, so it's not that they are gay.

Male dogs are just like men. they like to think with their other head. I have a little male pup and he humps everything, including other dogs male/female. He doesn't care what it is. Dogs don't have a sense of sexuality. They breed because they know they are suppossed to, but they don't have emotional feelings towards other dogs like people do. They don't get into relationships like people so no, they are not gay because they don't even understand what that is.

Usually it is a dominance thing. They are not actually having sex. I have never seen a male dog tie with another male dog.

They are not having sex. All dogs have to find out where they fit in the pecking order. Humping is a sign of domination in their world. Each is wanting a higher place in the pecking order. Since you are supposed to be the Alpha in the pack. Tell them NO when they do this.

When dogs 'hump' for non-procreation reasons, they are displaying dominance. I have two female boxers living with me (my room-mate's) and Chloe is always trying to get up on Katie's ****. It's a dominance thing.
