Well, if the taste is funny, it might be a chemical you don't know about that is in the water where you live. Get you water tested to make sure it is safe. Also, your water might have a lot of minerals in it (hard water). This is also not good for your water system, as it can cause mineral buildup in your pipes. So what I would do is get a good-quality water softener/purifier and hopefully your water problems will be gone. As for the second part, not getting enough fluids is bad for your body and can cause weakness, light-headedness, and other random bad stuff. Make sure to drink a lot of fluids, water has no calories so it is a good option, but 100% juice and skim milk are fine options too. Good luck!

The resistance of today's generation is very low due to lack of good organic manure fed and grown vegetables. So the contamination in the inner wall of pipes of tap-water source is affecting the health. There was a time, just about 40 years ago, water source was not a matter of concern. It went un-noticed because of general resistance of the then youth. Even now if you can really build up resistance, you can enjoy almost any water, and the small impurities simply get thrown out of a healthy body!
Drinking NO WATER IS NOT AT ALL GOOD for health. Water is the most needed item for health after good air to breath !

Use a BRITTA or PUR filter water pitcher....either brand can make some pretty nasty tasting water taste good...you NEED to drink sufficient quantities of water... not doing so can cause all kinds of negative health issues.....including dry skin
Some recommend, for your health's sake, to use this formula :
take your weight, divide by 2, drink at least that number of ounces a day
for example:
if your weight is 128 lbs. divide 128 by 2 =64
your water consumption should be 64 oz....which is 2 quarts
I'm pretty sure that's about a 2 liter pop bottle full
if you use the Pur or Britta filter pitcher, you can use a sports bottle & take cool, filtered water with you .. when away from home.....hope this helps........be blessed, aBranch <><
P.S. most tap water is safe to drink...

My mom insists that I supply my 5 month previous son water all the time, yet my pediatrician mentioned it rather is not mandatory. They get all the water they choose from formulation or breast milk, which they might desire to nevertheless be oftentimes eating whether they are eating solids. you grants them water in case you rather need to, it won't harm them, purely top off their abdomen so as that they gained't be hungry for nutritious food. No reason to start water - infants are not getting dehydrated like adults do. I purely wish my mom would hear to this! :)
