First of all, you are tall, so you can carry more weight. Do you really think you need to lose 20 lbs? You are correct that one month is not enough time to lose 20 lbs in a healthy way.

Instead, try this: Start a well-rounded fitness program.
Walk first, then maybe jog until you can do a mile or two per day ( 2 miles = 200 calories X 30 days = 6000 calories = 1.5 lbs lost). Time spent = 20 minutes.

Next, do some simple exercises or aerobic routine at a time when you can devote 15 minutes EVERY day. (if you work up a sweat, you'll burn another 150 calories per day X 30 days = 4500 calories = 1 lb. lost). Time spent = 15 minutes

Finally, try removing two or three snacks or fattening portions from your daily food intake. Skip the fries, have one piece of toast instead of two, and eat low fat yogurt or popcorn instead of ice cream (daily calories avoided = 400 X 30 days = 12,000 calories = 3 lbs lost). Time spent = 0 minutes.

Add it up. By devoting 35 minutes per day and a tiny bit of additional will power you're now down 5.5 lbs. in 30 days. You're feeling healthier and carrying yourself with pride and confidence (That's 90% of a sexy woman right there!).

And, if you keep up the routine, you'll be down about 15 - 20 lbs by the end of summer...still warm enough for that bikini!

Good luck.

first do not eat anything at least 4 hours before you go to bed.
Next cut out all sodas and friut juices ( a glass of OJ in the morning OK) Limit your carbs to less than 100 grams a day!
eat more protein, chicken, fish, etc. replace ur breakfast with a bowl of Special K then have a PRIA bar 1 1/2 hours before lunch to curb ur appetite at lunch,
If you have a bust size that is a 36 c or larger your goal should be 142 or so, if less than a 36c 136 lbs is fine.
If there is a pool close by swim at least 3 times a week for the next month this will tone ur body as you lose weight.
also just do leg lifts an hour bfore you go to bed (lie flat on the floor on your back and about 6-8 inches off the floor each time do as many as you can and each time add a few more just dont over do it- do a mon,wed fri sun regimen to give your abs and butt a break. GOOD LUCK

Well now a days all r talking abt bikinis! A months time is sufficient to you i think to lose weight as u have described yrself.
I think u need to start putting effort towards yr abs area and yr legs.
Start performing crunches, basic crunches, side crunches, situps, pushups etc. Do free hand exersixes. try to strain yr body a bit by avoiding lifts. Climb stairs, do some aerobic exersixes, and the mainthing is to feel healthy. zDrink lots of water & avoid junk foods.
Think yrself fit and fine and u will look the most beautiful lady in the party.
So good luck!

Two things- first, do not try to lose weight- just be healthy (eat for fuel and nourishment) and if your weight is 158 then forget about it! Second, I find that being hungry is not a horrible sensation...people in other parts of the world do it on a daily. ps. There are societies outside the US which value "meat on the bones"- refreshing!

I know this is not the best way to lose weight, but what I have done in the past is drink a 16oz. bottle of water before each meal. Only eat when you are hungry and and stay away from sugars and carbs. Lifting weights is a good idea. But my favorite is Yoga. It helps me to relax and meditate, also I can see my body in front of a mirror for at least one hour of a Yoga class, which makes me hold my stomach in and tighten every muscle in my body.

Leave off the meat and fat and eat lots of good fresh veggies and fruits along with lots of good exercise. 20 pounds in a month is not good for anyone to lose that fast. If you eat the fruits and veggies raw, you can eat all you want and never gain a pound but you will look and feel a lot better as you lose the unwanted pounds. Just be sure you get a large variety of all kinds of colors.

HERE"S HOW: There is NO SIMPLE way to loose weight. Eat less at each meal but definitely each each meal. Eat 4 small meals. Use a saucer instead of a plate. Stay away from butter, breads and saulty sugary snack foods like chips and chocolate. Walk after work instead of watch tv, but make sure that your walk breaks a sweat otherwise it won't do much.

I recommend spin/cycling classes. If you can go at least 3 days week an hour each time you will start to see results after a week or two and the classes are really fun. Do not forget the old saying you got to feel the burn.

Excersice, but when you do don't do the heavy pounds, to tone up use lighter weights 5-15lbs and do many repitiions. Alternate from top body to lower body to get the whole body workout. Also, cut all greasy, sugary, fatty foods, ie, soda, fried foods and pasta. Eat plenty of protien preferably from chicken and fish. Eat vegetables and fruits. Good Luck!
