Does anyone else believe that we are entering the end of days...
I no there have always been wars in the world but recently seeing the Iraq War and the Iranians trying to build Nuclear Weapons it s only a matter if time before someone pushes the big red button.
We have Russia and China making there voices heard backing the Muslim world and constant threats being made against Israel.Surley its only a matter of time before there is a nuclear confrontation. We have disease and Famine all over the World,Poverty and Crime,Global Warming which now seems irreversable,Bird Flu,and going by all the scientists out there natural disasters are now on the increase. Not to mention the price of Oil which in its self is enough to start WW3.
Surley the World can t continue for much longer down this path without something giving !!!!!!!!

I believe it
Now as He [that’s Jesus] sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered and said to them: ‘Take heed that no one deceives you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.”
Matthew 24:3-7

People say we always have had wars and famine but read on

“All these are the beginning of sorrows.”
Matthew 24:8

The word Jesus uses for sorrows is the word “odin” which translated means contractions or labor pains.

The closer the contractions the sooner the arrival

What are the three areas that Jesus said to watch out for?

Religious world
Political world
Natural world

Religious World:
It is estimated that about 1000 people in America alone claim they are Jesus

Political World:
In the 20th century over 200 million people died as a result of war
There are 38 armed conflicts going on in 28 nations
Terrorist attacks in 2003 totaled 175. It rose to 655 in 2004

Natural World
Almost 1/6 of the world’s population can’t meet basic nutritional needs
Pestilence- AIDS, SARS, Bird Flu, Mad Cow Disease, West Nile Virus
The Hurricanes of the past few yrs
In the first 1500 yrs after Jesus the earth averaged about 2 major earthquakes each century
But it made a dramatic increase over the next 4 centurites until it reached about 130 in the 1900s

I believe it.

The world will endure. For all the actions of the stumbling, demented child-king mankind, we can still only dream of being potent enough to destroy a whole world.
Our way of life (frappes, internet chatrooms, desperate housewives, etc.) is likely in for some fairly radical changes within the next, say, 100 years, and a lot more people are going to die.
Even our mighty sun threatens only the life on this planet when it finally collapses in on itself. Same goes for stellar gamma-ray bursts, and a meteor hit big enough to vape the earth is inconceiveable.
It is not the planet we need to worry about. It is the quality of life upon the planet that concerns me.
I find it interesting that you mention the price of oil only at the end. If ever there were a single thing that might be blamed for bringing us to the brink then oil would get my vote.
But its not the end of the world...

PS - Threats against Israel are perfectly understandable when you look at the history of modern Israel, a state born of an act of terrorism. Also the Muslim world wouldn't be the enemy it is without the history of US intervention in the region. Meanwhile, Africa slowly comes apart, largely off-stage in the world's media, and this time its oil they're raping the dark continent for. Couple that with India and China's increasing demands for oil and gas, and the rapidly dwindling natural resource reserves, and the stage is set, not so much for the end of the world as an end to the Industrial Interlude and a way of life that was anything but sustainable, and as such could never last indefinitely.
Something will give. It is inevitable...

What most people don't know is the fact that there is no prophecy being fulfilled today. We are living in the age of grace where God has revealed the mysteries that were hidden before the foundation of the world. Romans 16:25 Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began, Ephesians 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit; If you were living back in the late 1920 and early 1930, You may have believed that you were in the tribulation period. If you were living in the 1940 when world war II was going on you may have believe it was the end times but it was not. Today there is no prophecy that need to be fulfilled for the Lord to appear in the heavens and take His church off the earth.1 Thessalonians 4:15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 1 Thessalonians 4:16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:T1 Thessalonians 4: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Then the prophecy even will happen. The tribulation period will start and last for seven years. Then the Lord will return to the earth to rule and reign for 1000 years. Matthew 24: 29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Its certainly very worrying. I know that during the Tsunami, the earth actually wobbled on its axis. The flooding in New Orleans was a shock too. There have been, and will be, wars for ever because of Man's need to destroy and conquer. People have also been predicting the end of the world, for a long old time, and it aint happened yet.

Best thing, make the most of every moment - make it all count!!!

No I don't
Bubonic Plague swept the face of the world centuries ago and yet here we are. The flu pandemic after the WW1 killed millions (that was a bird flu did you know that?) and we are still here.
Adolph was jack booting his way across Europe not that long ago but thankfully he is long dead and we are not.
If you want to go really biblical look at the state Jerusalem was in when Jesus was born, what a dangerous dump that was - crime, poverty disease. Its just life mate.

People have always thought we are in end of days. Even Jesus believed it would happen by the end of his Disciples lives.

Never, not once since Christ has any Christian thought armageddon was more than 100 years away, and they have all been wrong.

There are not more wars and disasters than there were in the past, we just see them on the news more.

It's got a lot more spiraling to do before the end. I remember growing up during the Cold War and fearing that death every day as a teen. I'm done speculating about the future. Let come what may...

Well...the world is going through a transformation, and renewal like it does every 3600 or so years with the arrival back of planet X. Yes most life (9 tenths) of earths spirits will be with out a home when the latest pole shift happens either 2009 or 2010 if not before.
The last pole shift was when moses was around in Bible times...and previous ones have caused the sinking of Atlantis and the great flood of Noah legend

No, there will be the tribulation which preceeds armageddon then there will be the rapture. Then yes, Armageddon then after ~1000 years, folks comwe back and reclaim the earth. Most of this is explained in Thesselonians (sp?)

But, to the point, no, IMO, we are not there yet. Howebver, I do have faith that where we seem to be headed is a pathetic waste.
