Try using "Nature's Miracle" - they sell it at PetSmart. My ex's mom breeds dogs and swears by this stuff to get the smell of dog pee out of the carpets, so I'm sure it would help for cat pee. I've used it to get the mildew smell out of my clothes in the wash, too.

In order to do that, you need two things. First of all, you need Febreeze (not the air freshener Febreeze, the other Febreeze). Second of all, you need another chemical known as "Pee-Pee". Pee-Pee is a special pet odor removing chemical. It comes in a tall plastic bottle. First, you sprinkle the "Pee Pee" product over the spot on the carpet, following the directions on the back of the container. Next, after that's done, spray Febreeze directly on the spot.
I know this works, because I have personally done it. What happened was I used to have this old cat (she died earlier this year) who would pee on the carpet every now and then.

There is a product that you can buy at Kmart, Wal-Mart or any grocery that is made by OUT!, and I have found it to work WONDERS!! Make sure you follow the directions to a T though, or it doesn't do it's job.

Vinegar will also help neutralize the spot. Nature's miracle is OK too.

I prefer the first option. I have 5 cats.

wash it my cat never pees on the carpet, I buy sand for him. you should buy sand don't be so greedy with your cat.
